First Industrial Realty Trust is a national industrial building and site developer. We had and continue to have the need to manage our project sites to maintain the highest standards of dust and soil erosion control, track-out and specific air quality conditions.
When we started our current project called First Mesa Commerce Park in Mesa, Arizona our dust permit showed we would have in excess of 108 acres of disturbed dirt. In our best practices approach, we left as much of the land areas in native desert state as possible. To that end, we still had a large challenge with compliance in some of the worst soil conditions in Arizona.
We tried many different palliative products, but either they would not stand up to the site traffic or they washed out when it rained. We were spending large amounts of money on water, water trucks, and labor.
National Land Management approached us with a solution that is 100% green, natural, and has guaranteed performance. This made great sense to us from a project cost perspective and the environmental impact. First Industrial is very interested in developing smartly and also being environmentally conscious. National Land Management’s slogan, Cleaner air, more water … for all of us™ resonates with us.
I am happy to report that after more than 14 months and many inspections from air quality personnel, National Land Management continues to safeguard us from dust, and track-out with zero fines. Further, the guarantees provided us have in fact been upheld without issue and areas where solutions were applied for erosion control have held up as promised.
We are very happy with National Land Management’s people, services, and solutions and would recommend them highly. We just awarded them another project!
